Social Service Counselor - CYAC Program

The counselor works as a member of a team to provide a full range of service to clients dealing with medical, mental health, vocational, housing, substance and other issues. The counselor, as a team member and under supervision of the Coordinator of Social Services, performs a wide variety of tasks and activities designed to effect the lasting progress of homeless young people. Such activities include group and individual counseling and other assigned responsibilities that deal directly with inner and external conditions and outcomes of homelessness.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts Degree or Science Degree from an accredited college or university plus one year’s experience as a social services, addiction counselor or street worker or outreach worker in homeless work or other related setting.
